They unlike so many businesses offering ECU remapping deliver a truly custom remapping service, they are experts in engine tuning and use the combination of the traditional engine tuning techniques with state of the art diagnostic testing and a uniquely created remapping file, made and customised for your car. Mark Hardy, the proprietor of Automark, has 25 years experience tuning cars with 15 years of that involving chip tuning and remapping. Therefore you get both a software engineer and an automotive technician under the same roof.

They have a fully equipped unit in the business park in Stokesley even with its own rolling road, and offer a comprehensive range of performance services alongside the traditional vehicle servicing and repairs. So if you are looking for ECU remapping and specialist engine tuning then look no further, Automark is what you are looking for. In addition to all the skills and services on offer they personally are friendly, approachable and honest. I quite truly wouldn’t take my little car anywhere else, so if you are looking for ECU remapping, don’t risk your car and waste your money on the cowboys who fit generic files in car parks, go to the professionals at Automark, you will be delighted with the results.

We have just done their new website, which has been quite an education for me, being a nerd rather than a petrol-head, my knowledge of performance services was very, very limited, I was basically aware they existed, but that was about it, now however I know differently. In researching the genre for making this site I saw many companies offering ECU remapping, just about all claim that they are custom remapping, and if I had been looking for this I probably would of been fooled into contacting one of them, I simply didn’t understand the difference. What sets Automark aside from the others is the vast majority of ECU mapping service providers are simply supplying a generic modified file. They read the software from your car, email it to someone who modifies it, upon its return it is then written into your ECU. Because it is your own software that has been modified you will probably be told that you have a custom programme. The fact is the software engineer hasn’t seen your car and can’t assess the car’s response to the modification. The person reading and writing the software to your car ( the so called remapping specialist), often has little or no hands on tuning experience and is unlikely to know if the modification suits the vehicle. Sometimes the whole process is carried out with no workshop facilities and backup when problems occur.

Their new website shows many of their services and several of their projects, which are also very impressive, especially the work they have done on Simon Bainbridge’s Audi TT , the Formula Libre British Sprint Champion 2008, 2009, 2010. His distinctive yellow Audi TT silhouette sprint and hill climb car will be seen contesting the British Sprint Championship to defend his titles in 2011. It really is remarkable to think that expertise like this is nestled in the quiet North Yorkshire market town of Stokesley, you never know what is on your doorstep, do you?
